Hanging Sign - Oak

Please refer to the pictures above to see the range of options available with these signs.  If required please utilise the 'Comments' fields to clarify any ambiguities on your preferred layout (e.g. icon on right etc).  Sign double sided as standard, supplied with top mounted eyelets. 

Sign available with optional metal bracket in two styles (both made by us!).  When ordered with a post we include relevant fasteners for assembly.

General Comments about Our Timber Products

Our Timber

All our timber signs are manufactured from sustainable sources, classified as super prime they are the highest grade available containing the character of oak with very flaws.  Our timber is kiln dried and routinely checked for moisture content to ensure minimal risk of splitting and/or warping.  Please be aware oak posts may contain some splits (inherent with oak [rustic]) but this will not affect the overall strength/integrity

Sign Finish

Our sign are finished using 4 coats of Osmo UV-Protection Oil Extra, applied over consecutive days to ensure good adhesion and lasting protection.  Based on natural oils it produces a satin-matt finish that enhances the natural tone and character of the wood, it does not crack, flake, peel or blister. It is water and dirt resistant, moisture regulating and reduces wood swelling and shrinkage.

If you require a custom font please state requirement during checkout.

• Our standard posts are available in 2.4m and 3m lengths.
• Timber post are 100mm x 100mm sawn size, this can reduce by up to 15mm as we plane and sand the length to be straight/true.
• Oak posts do not require an oil finish to increase lifespan, natural oak will grey over time. 
• Metal posts are mild steel 70mm x 70mm section with a black Hammerite (smooth) finish.
• If you require your post cut to a shorter length just ask (cuts are free of charge).
• * PLAIN finish relates to the supply from our timber mill, this could include a coloured wood preservative finish.  This is the recommended choice if you plan to apply your own finish.
